









Bandung, UNIKOM – Saturday, November 23, 2024. The Graduate School of UNIKOM, in collaboration with PASMA UNIKOM, held an international seminar in a hybrid format (offline/online) at the UNIKOM Miracle Building Auditorium and via Zoom. The event was attended by over 500 participants, including academicians (lecturers, education and support staff, structural officials, students), practitioners, and the general public from various domestic and international institutions.
The international seminar carried the theme “Navigating the Digital Landscape: Fintech in Regulatory, International, and Islamic Perspective.” The event featured prominent speakers in their respective fields, including: Abdisamad A. Omar, B.Sc., MA, M.Sc., CHRMP, Ph.D., Director of the African Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies (AIMS), Researcher at Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University – Turkey, and Lecturer at the University of Hargeisa – Somalia; Yusi Yuliana, Assistant Director of Bank Indonesia West Java Province; Reza Fauzi Nazar, S.H., M.H., Lecturer at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, State Islamic University Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung; and Dr. Yeffry Handoko Putra, M.T., Head of the Master’s Program in Information Systems, Universitas Komputer Indonesia.
The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Ir. H. M. Yani Syafei, M.T., CSBA, the Organizing Committee Chair and Head of the Doctoral Program in Management at UNIKOM. This was followed by welcoming remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahma Wahdiniwaty, Dra., M.Si., Dean of the Graduate School of UNIKOM, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA, Vice Rector II of UNIKOM.
Entering the main event, moderated by Geraldi Catur Pamuji, S.Kom., M.Kom., each speaker delivered their presentations in an interactive and informative manner, followed by discussions and Q&A sessions. The session concluded with the exchange of tokens of appreciation, door prize giveaways, and a group photo for documentation purposes.
It is hoped that through this international seminar, participants, especially graduate students of UNIKOM, can broaden their horizons and build connections both domestically and internationally, thereby inspiring new and innovative ideas.
