At the AWIST 2024 international event, UNIKOM achieved a series of impressive accomplishments. Dr. Hanhan Maulana, M.Kom., Ph.D., Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program, was invited to speak alongside esteemed colleagues Prof. Hiroyuki Iida from JAIST and Dr. Mohd Nor Akhmad Khalid from UKM. Dr. Hanhan presented his research on utilizing AI technology to predict fertilizer requirements for palm oil based on leaf greenness levels.
Adding to the success, both Dr. Muhammad Aria Radjasa, S.T., M.T., a lecturer in Electrical Engineering, and Dr. Yefri Handoko Putra, S.T., M.T., Head of the Information Systems Masters Study Program, secured the coveted best paper award. Dr. Aria’s presentation focused on artificial intelligence-based traffic control systems, while Dr. Yefri explored the fascinating world of fractal motifs within Lokatmala batik designs, incorporating Sundanese script.
Further enhancing UNIKOM’s achievements, Dr. Ednawati Rainarli, S.Si., M.Si., and Richi Dwi Agustia, S.Kom., M.Kom., were selected as the best presenters. Dr. Edna’s research delved into methods for selecting binary text within images, while Richi’s work focused on food recommendation applications that consider daily calorie needs. These outstanding contributions brought great pride to UNIKOM.
Through the active participation and remarkable achievements of its faculty members, UNIKOM has demonstrably solidified the quality of its research endeavors. This success further underscores the university’s commitment and readiness on its path towards becoming a World Class University.
